Job Overview

We are seeking an enthusiastic and knowledgeable First Aid Instructor to join our team and teach weekends. If you're interested and available, there are also weekday shifts and this could be a full-time position. It would be great if you already have your Canadian Red Cross First Aid Instructor certification, but we are willing to train the right candidate.

If successful, you will be responsible for teaching engaging and informative first aid courses to both private groups on and offsite and to the general public. This role requires a strong understanding of first aid principles, effective teaching strategies and the ability to communicate clearly with participants of all skill levels.

Duties

Teach first aid & CPR courses to both private groups on and offsite and to the general public. Assess participants' understanding and proficiency through practical demonstrations and multiple choice written evaluations. Prepare, fill out, and submit required course paperwork and forms promptly for each course taught. Travel to offsite courses in own vehicle or using company vehicle. Clean and sanitize course equipment after each course. Reset training rooms after each course. Collaborate with other instructors and instructor trainers to ensure consistency in training delivery.

Skills

Strong knowledge of first aid techniques, CPR, and emergency response procedures. Experience in teaching or public speaking, with the ability to engage diverse audiences effectively. Excellent communication skills to convey information clearly and effectively.

Pay: From $22.61 per hour

Expected hours: 18 - 27 per week
