Job Description

1 Permanent Vacancy - 1.0 FTE

The John McGivney Children's Centre provides family-centered paediatric therapy services in the Windsor-Essex County community, enriching the lives of children and youth with special needs by helping them reach their full potential. Reporting to the Manager of OT/PT Services, the Physiotherapist will provide Physiotherapy services within a professional scope of practice including assessment, intervention and documentation.

The Physiotherapist will fulfill clinical standards of practice as mandated by regulatory body or equivalent. They will provide comprehensive clinical rehabilitative services within the Centre, homes, schools and in the community. They will collaborate with clients/families and other team members in the planning and delivery of programs and services. They will assess, prescribe and monitor mobility devices; and assist families in evaluating funding options. They will also develop, supervise and delegate programs and activities to others including support staff and students as appropriate. They will participate in clinical education and knowledge transfer activities; and will ensure quality, effectiveness and efficiency of services delivered

Qualifications:



The qualified candidate will have Clinical Master's Degree in Physiotherapy or equivalent. They will be registered and in good standing with the College of Physiotherapists of Ontario. One year of Clinical experience as a Physiotherapist, preferably in paediatric rehabilitation, is preferred. They will have excellent interpersonal, organizational and communication skills; and be able to perform the physical requirements of the job. They must demonstrate flexibility, initiative and an ability to work both independently and within a multidisciplinary team. They will also require a valid Driver's License.
