We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Physiotherapist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in patient care, with expertise in various physiotherapy techniques and a comprehensive understanding of anatomy and physiology. This role involves working with patients across different settings, including inpatient, outpatient, and home health environments. The Physiotherapist will be responsible for developing individualized care plans, implementing therapeutic interventions, and facilitating discharge planning to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Responsibilities
Assess patients' physical conditions and develop tailored physiotherapy treatment plans.
Implement therapeutic exercises and modalities to improve mobility, strength, and function.
Conduct discharge planning to ensure continuity of care post-treatment.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive patient care.
Maintain accurate documentation of patient progress using EMR systems.
Educate patients and their families on treatment plans, exercises, and self-management strategies.
Provide specialized care for various populations including pediatrics, geriatrics, orthopedics, and those requiring acute care.
Utilize techniques such as trigger point therapy to address specific patient needs.
Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary to achieve desired outcomes.
Requirements
Valid physiotherapy license or certification in the relevant jurisdiction.
Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology.
Experience in home & community care as well as clinic settings is preferred.
Familiarity with EMR systems for documentation purposes.
Previous hospital experience is an asset; experience in both inpatient and outpatient settings is desirable.
Ability to develop effective care plans based on individual patient assessments.
Knowledge of various physiotherapy techniques including but not limited to trigger point therapy and acute care practices.
Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with patients and healthcare professionals.
