Job Description

We are looking for an teacher who is seeking a challenging teaching position in Science courses for Grade 9 to Grade 12 students.

Requirement:

Undergraduate degree in a related field, OCT is preferred

Extensive knowledge of the current OSSD grade 9-12 curriculum, and Ministry of Education growing success criteria and assessment requirements;

Strong communication and multi-tasking abilities

Excellent organizational skills

This job is in person teaching in school.

Job Type: Full-time

Schedule: Monday to Friday: 8am to 4pm.

Responsibilities:

Responsible for all activities associated with the successful delivery of the curriculum/program, including but not limited to: developing, preparing, and delivering the program; and assessing the academic work of students;

Follow professional practices consistent with school and system policies in working with students, students' records, parents and colleagues;

Teach diligently and faithfully the classes or subjects assigned;

Follow the assessment and evaluation guidelines of the school in accordance with the requirements of the Ministry of Education guidelines;

Be committed to professional growth and development;

Collaborate with the principal, other teachers, and parents in the best interest of student success and well-being;

Skills:

Ability to plan and deliver high quality education to students

Ability to guide students in character development, encouraging children to be independent and to respect themselves and others

Strong communication and interpersonal skills, including ability to actively and positively interact with parents

Job Types: Part-time, Fixed term contract
Contract length: 4 months

Pay: $25.00-$35.00 per hour
