We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Physics Teacher to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in physics and related scientific disciplines, with the ability to inspire students and foster a love for learning. This role involves teaching various physics concepts, developing engaging curriculum materials, and utilizing innovative learning technologies to enhance student understanding. The Physics Teacher will also be responsible for classroom management and mentoring students in their academic pursuits.
Responsibilities
Develop and implement comprehensive lesson plans that align with curriculum standards and cater to diverse learning styles.
Teach fundamental and advanced physics concepts, including but not limited to mechanics, thermodynamics, electromagnetism, and wave phenomena.
Integrate mathematical principles such as algebra, trigonometry, calculus, and differential equations into physics instruction.
Utilize laboratory experience to conduct experiments that reinforce theoretical concepts, ensuring safety protocols are followed.
Employ learning technology to enhance instructional delivery and engage students in interactive learning experiences.
Assess student performance through standardized testing, projects, and classroom participation while providing constructive feedback.
Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum development and instructional design to improve educational outcomes.
Mentor students in their academic growth, offering tutoring support as needed.
Maintain an organized classroom environment conducive to learning while managing student behavior effectively.
Experience
Bachelor's degree in Physics or a related field; advanced degrees preferred.
Proven experience working with students in an educational setting, preferably at the high school or higher education level.
Strong communication skills with the ability to convey complex concepts clearly and effectively.
Familiarity with special education practices is a plus; experience in Montessori or private school settings is advantageous.
Background in scientific research or laboratory experience is preferred, including knowledge of organic chemistry, biochemistry, cell biology, microbiology, genetics, molecular biology, and dissection techniques.
Experience in academic advising or education administration is beneficial but not required. We welcome applicants who are enthusiastic about teaching physics and committed to fostering a positive learning environment for all students.

Pay: $30.00-$70.00 per hour
