About the Role

Birmingham International Collegiate of Canada (BICC), a private Ontario-inspected high school in Toronto, is seeking an

OCT-certified Math and/or Physics Teacher

to teach Grades 10-12 international students. This position is ideal for an educator passionate about helping students succeed academically and prepare for university studies.

Responsibilities

Teach senior-level

Mathematics

(Functions, Advanced Functions, Calculus, Data Management) and/or

Physics

courses. Prepare engaging lesson plans, assignments, tests, and labs. Use a variety of instructional strategies (lectures, discussions, labs, group work, multimedia). Assess and evaluate student performance, providing constructive feedback. Communicate student progress with parents and administration. Participate in staff meetings, workshops, and professional development. Offer tutoring or extra help sessions when needed. Integrate technology and online tools to support learning.
Qualifications

Required:

Bachelor's degree in Education or related field

Ontario College of Teachers (OCT) Certification

2+ years of recent teaching experience in high school Math and/or Physics

Preferred:

Experience teaching international students Strong knowledge of Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD) requirements Comfort using digital learning tools and platforms
