Selis Learning Academy is seeking a

passionate, knowledgeable, and dedicated Physics Teacher

to inspire students and foster a deep understanding of physics and related mathematical concepts. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong subject-matter expertise, effective classroom management skills, and a commitment to supporting diverse learners in a structured and inclusive educational environment.

Key Responsibilities



Design and deliver engaging physics lessons aligned with curriculum standards and Selis Learning Academy's academic framework. Develop comprehensive lesson plans integrating core mathematical foundations, including

Algebra, Geometry, Trigonometry, Calculus, and introductory Differential Equations

, as appropriate to student level. Incorporate technology-enhanced learning tools, simulations, and hands-on activities to strengthen conceptual understanding and student engagement. Facilitate laboratory experiments and practical demonstrations related to mechanics, electricity and magnetism, waves, optics, and modern physics. Assess student progress through quizzes, tests, projects, and classroom participation; provide timely, constructive feedback and academic guidance. Maintain effective classroom management while fostering a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment. Support students with diverse learning needs, including those requiring accommodations or individualized learning strategies. Mentor students in academic enrichment activities, competitions, research projects, or preparation for higher education pathways. Collaborate with colleagues and academic leadership on curriculum development, instructional improvement, and student success initiatives.

Qualifications & Experience



Proven experience teaching

Physics

at the middle school, high school, or advanced academic level. Strong academic background in physics and applied mathematics, including

Algebra, Geometry, Trigonometry, Calculus

, and related quantitative methods. Demonstrated ability to explain complex concepts clearly and adapt instruction to different learning styles. Experience using instructional technology, digital tools, or interactive learning platforms is an asset. Experience working with diverse student populations, including students requiring learning accommodations or behavioral support. Familiarity with private school, enrichment academy, or individualized learning environments is considered an advantage. Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
