Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and licensed Physician Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in patient care and be proficient in electronic medical records systems such as Epic and Cerner. This role requires a compassionate individual who is committed to providing high-quality healthcare services across various settings, including acute care, pediatrics, and pain management.

Duties

Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and physical examinations. Develop and implement treatment plans based on patient needs and medical history. Administer medications and perform procedures as necessary. Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes. Maintain accurate and up-to-date electronic medical records, ensuring compliance with medical terminology standards. Participate in data collection and research initiatives to improve patient care practices. Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding health management. Assist in phlebotomy tasks as needed within the scope of practice. Engage in home care visits when required, ensuring continuity of care for patients.

Requirements

CPSO licensed Physician Assistant or CCPA. Current certification by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA). Previous hospital experience is preferred, with a focus on acute care settings. Familiarity with electronic medical records systems, particularly Epic and Cerner. Strong understanding of medical terminology and procedures related to patient care. Experience in pediatrics or pain management is a plus. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in documentation and patient interactions. Pay: $27.15-$50.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30 - 40 per week
