Studio Portrait Photographer (Black & White) -- Victoria, BC

(Victoria) is hiring a

part-time Photographer

to capture timeless black & white portraits of families, kids, and pets.

Contract role with potential for long-term.

Evening + weekend availability required.

What You'll Do

Lead 45-60 minute in-studio sessions (light, pose, direct, capture). Work calmly with kids and pets; keep sessions fun + professional. Prep studio, test lighting, and keep the studio tidy. Cull/select images and hand off to retoucher. Attend team meetings and contribute to maintaining high standards.

Must-Haves

Strong portfolio (lighting, posing, composition). 3+ years of experience photographing families/kids/pets in a studio. Confident with DSLR/mirrorless in manual mode. Comfortable with strobes + troubleshooting gear. Excellent communication; calm, punctual, professional. Fleunt in English. Able to lift/set up equipment (up to 30 lbs). Reside in Victoria, BC; authorized to work locally. Schedule: Be available on select evenings during the week and one weekend day.

Nice-to-Haves

Photomechanic. Wall art/product knowledge. Customer/sales service experience.

Compensation & Growth

$25 to start. Training provided.
