What You Will Bring To The Team
We are looking for an experienced pharmacy manager/pharmacist in charge and leader to join us on our ongoing journey to transform healthcare and be a key partner in our transformation and growth journey in Newfoundland and Labrador.

In addition to what makes you unique, there are a few basics that we require for this role:

  • Licensed Pharmacist in good standing with the College of Pharmacy of Newfoundland and Labrador.
  • Minimum 5-7 years of pharmacy experience,
  • At least 3 years in a PIC management/leadership role in Newfoundland is considered an asset.
  • Proven ability to lead teams and manage operations in multiple pharmacy locations.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Passion for mentoring and developing future pharmacy leaders.
Your Role
The Pharmacy Operations Lead will provide oversight to a group of six community pharmacies on the Avalon Peninsula. This role combines clinical expertise, client care and dispensing responsibilities with strategic leadership, ensuring high-quality dispensing and pharmacy services, regulatory compliance, and operational excellence. The role is responsible for mentoring pharmacy teams, driving performance, and fostering a culture of client-centered care. The role will be a key part of our growth and transformation, using their expertise to attract like-minded professionals into our group. This position reports to our General Manager.
Key Responsibilities
Dispensing & Clinical Oversight
  • Potential requirement to act as PIC on occasion and perform dispensing and client service duties on a routine basis.
  • Ensure accurate and safe dispensing of medications across all locations.
  • Provide clinical guidance on complex prescriptions and therapeutic decisions.
  • Monitor and enforce compliance with provincial and federal pharmacy regulations.
  • Lead initiatives in medication therapy management and patient counseling.
Team Management & Development
  • Supervise and support pharmacists, technicians, and support staff across all six pharmacy locations, as well as new locations.
  • Conduct regular performance reviews and facilitate ongoing professional development.
  • Coordinate staffing schedules, recruitment, and onboarding.
  • Foster a collaborative and inclusive team culture.
Leadership & Strategic Operations
  • Develop and implement regional pharmacy goals aligned with company objectives.
  • Analyze pharmacy performance metrics and implement improvement strategies.
  • Lead change management initiatives, including client care services and workflow optimization.
  • Represent the pharmacy group in regional healthcare partnerships and community outreach.
  • Be a key partner in growth supporting new pharmacy openings and acquisitions.
  • Regional growth and performance incentive opportunity.
Inventory & Compliance
  • Oversee inventory management, procurement, and cost control across all sites.
  • Ensure proper storage, handling, and documentation of controlled substances.
  • Conduct audits and risk assessments to maintain high standards of practice.
  • Ensure pharmacies are compliant with all applicable legislation, policies and third-party agreements.
