Start Date:

Position to start right away or December

$75 per hour contract basis + GST

HOURS OF OPERATION

9-3 pm Monday-Friday

9-2pm Saturday-Sunday

- Pharmacy tech and LPN support for OAT and in home care 7 days a week.

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Pharmacy Manager to oversee daily pharmacy operations within a healthcare setting. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive knowledge of medication management, and a commitment to providing exceptional patient care. This role involves managing pharmacy staff, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, and collaborating with healthcare professionals to optimize medication therapy. A background in hospital or acute care environments, along with pediatric experience, is highly desirable to support diverse patient needs.

Responsibilities



Lead and supervise pharmacy staff to ensure efficient and accurate medication dispensing and patient service. Oversee medication inventory management, including ordering, storage, and documentation. Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local pharmacy regulations and standards. Collaborate with healthcare providers to develop and review medication therapy plans tailored to patient needs. Maintain accurate records of prescriptions, medication administration, and patient interactions. Provide guidance on the use of medical terminology and medication protocols to staff and patients. Implement policies and procedures that promote safe medication practices and patient safety. Monitor pharmacy operations for quality assurance and continuous improvement initiatives. Stay current with advances in pharmacology, hospital protocols, and pediatric medication management.

Requirements



Valid pharmacist license in the state of practice. Proven experience in hospital or acute care pharmacy settings; pediatrics experience is a plus. Strong knowledge of medical terminology, medication administration, and patient care procedures. Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to manage a multidisciplinary team effectively. Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in inventory control and documentation. Ability to communicate clearly with healthcare professionals, patients, and staff members. Commitment to maintaining high standards of safety, compliance, and ethical practice in pharmacy operations.
Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $75.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30 per week

Work Location: In person
