Key responsibilities

Manage pharmacy staff by assigning work tasks, supervising, evaluating, training, and scheduling for all employees Coach, mentor, and develop staff; provide effective performance management feedback through employee recognition and disciplinary action when necessary Oversee prescriptions to ensure accuracy and that proper procedures are being followed Prepare, dispense, and control medications accurately and in a timely matter Proactively conduct medical consultations with patients in a manner that is friendly and respectful Administer immunizations Adhere to controlled drugs and substances laws Consult with physicians and provide timely resolutions to patients' and physicians' requests or concerns Create awareness and educate customers through local initiatives such as public health days, clinics, etc. Manage expenses at the pharmacy Open and close the pharmacy Maintain protocols and procedures Manage inventory (medication and over-the-counter) Keep pharmacy clean and organized Manage collection of payments and accounts receivables
Requirements

Licensed and in good standing with the College of Pharmacists Manitoba Bachelor of Science, Pharmacy Superior customer relations skills and a strong sense of professionalism Excellent strategic planning, leadership, and communication The ability to remain calm and handle stressful situations The ability to work independently and as part of a team Continuing care pharmacy experience preferred Experience with Kroll preferred, but not strictly necessary Experience managing staff preferred
