We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Pharmacy Manager to oversee the operations of our pharmacy. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the safe and effective delivery of pharmaceutical care to patients, managing pharmacy staff, and maintaining compliance with all regulatory requirements.
Duties
Supervise daily pharmacy operations, including medication dispensing and patient care services.
Ensure compliance with all federal, provincial, and local regulations regarding pharmacy practice.
Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and implement medication management protocols.
Oversee the training and development of pharmacy staff to enhance their skills in patient care and medication administration.
Conduct regular audits of pharmacy practices to ensure adherence to established policies and procedures.
Maintain accurate records of medications, including inventory management and controlled substances tracking.
Provide consultation services regarding drug therapy, side effects, interactions, and proper medication use for healthcare providers and patients.
Stay updated on advancements in pharmaceutical care practices and medical terminology relevant to patient treatment.
Experience
A valid OCP license to practice as a pharmacist in the province of Ontario is required.
Strong knowledge of medical terminology and medication administration processes is necessary.
Proven leadership skills with the ability to manage a diverse team effectively.
