We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Pharmacy Manager to oversee our pharmacy operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in hospital pharmacy, particularly in acute care and pediatrics. This role is essential for ensuring optimal patient care through effective medication management and adherence to medical protocols. The Pharmacy Manager will lead a team of pharmacists and pharmacy technicians, ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements while providing exceptional service to our patients.
Responsibilities
Manage daily pharmacy operations, including staffing, budgeting, and inventory control.
Ensure safe and effective medication administration practices are followed.
Collaborate with healthcare professionals to optimize patient care through appropriate medication therapy management.
Supervise and mentor pharmacy staff, providing training on medical terminology and best practices in patient care.
Maintain compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations regarding pharmacy operations.
Develop and implement policies and procedures to enhance the efficiency of pharmacy services.
Monitor drug utilization patterns and implement strategies for cost-effective medication use.
Conduct regular audits to ensure adherence to safety standards and quality assurance measures.
Qualifications
Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) or BSC Pharm degree from an accredited institution. OCP certified Rph.
Previous experience in a pharmacy; Kroll experience required.
Strong knowledge of medical terminology and medication administration protocols.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
Proven leadership skills with experience in managing pharmacy staff effectively.
