We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Pharmacy Manager to oversee the daily operations of our pharmacy department. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in patient care and medication administration, with a focus on providing exceptional service in an acute care hospital setting. This role requires effective leadership skills to manage pharmacy staff, ensure compliance with regulations, and maintain high standards of pharmaceutical care.

Duties

Manage the daily operations of the pharmacy, including staff supervision and workflow optimization. Ensure accurate medication dispensing and administration for all patients, adhering to safety protocols. Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans. Monitor medication inventory levels and oversee procurement processes. Provide guidance and training to pharmacy staff on medical terminology and best practices in acute care settings. Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with hospital policies and regulatory requirements. Address any medication-related issues or concerns raised by patients or healthcare providers. Stay updated on advancements in pharmaceuticals, particularly in pediatrics, to enhance patient outcomes.

Requirements

Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) degree from an accredited institution. Valid pharmacist license in the state of practice. Proven experience in a hospital pharmacy environment, particularly in acute care settings. Strong knowledge of medical terminology and medication administration practices. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with healthcare teams. Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining attention to detail. Experience working with pediatric patients is preferred but not required.

Pay: $55.00-$65.00 per hour
