Pharmacy Manager
to lead our team and oversee all aspects of
day-to-day pharmacy operations
. Key Responsibilities
Oversee and manage all day-to-day pharmacy operations, ensuring safe, efficient, and accurate dispensing of medications.
Serve as the
Designated Manager
, maintaining full compliance with Ontario College of Pharmacists (OCP) standards, documentation requirements, and inspection readiness.
Lead, mentor, and support the pharmacy team, providing guidance to pharmacists, technicians, and support staff; responsible for scheduling, workflow optimization, and performance oversight.
Build and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with prescribers, healthcare professionals, and the local community.
Manage inventory effectively, including ordering, narcotic handling, returns, audits, and third-party billing processes.
Monitor pharmacy performance and identify opportunities to enhance workflow efficiency, patient experience, and clinical service offerings.
Conduct
MedsCheck / medication reviews
, comprehensive counselling, and adherence assessments.
Provide
Pharmacy Care Services
under OCP regulations, including
assessing and prescribing for minor ailments and common health conditions
.
Administer immunizations and other authorized clinical services.
Ensure all professional activities meet regulatory, safety, and best-practice standards.
Qualifications
Licensed Pharmacist in good standing with the
Ontario College of Pharmacists (OCP)
.
Minimum 3 years of pharmacy management or supervisory experience
in a busy community or retail pharmacy.
Advanced proficiency with Kroll software
(highly experienced or expert level preferred).
Strong understanding of
ODB, third-party billing systems, audits, and compliance procedures
.
Proven leadership abilities with strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Demonstrated commitment to delivering exceptional patient-centered care.
Ability to work independently and confidently manage all pharmacy operations.
Required Certifications
Injection Certification (OCP-authorized to administer injections)
MedsCheck Certification / training
Certified Diabetes Educator (CDE) orequivalent diabetes-management training
Naloxone & Opioid Safety Training
CPR and First Aid Certification (preferred but not mandatory)
Compensation
Competitive salary, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
