. This role is full-time and reports to the Store Manager.
We are looking for a strong leader who has a passion for caring for customers' health needs and who can efficiently oversee the daily operations of the Pharmacy in terms of staffing, sales, customer service, merchandising, and product quality.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Provide superior service to customers
Checking prescriptions for accuracy
Counseling on prescription medications
OTC counseling
Health management consulting
Participation in SDM programs including cognitive/enhanced services as these programs may evolve over time and as required by the business
Collaboration with pharmacy assistant to accurately dispense prescription medications
Gather prescription information according to the Pharmacy Standards of Practice
Maintain an organized and clean dispensary
Enter and maintain appropriate prescription data
Handle incoming and outgoing faxes according to Pharmacy Standards of Practice
Accurately file completed prescriptions in a timely, organized manner
Generate reports as required and prepare invoices as required
Manage and maintain pharmacy and front store inventory
Ensure proper storage of pharmaceutical products
Adhere to safety policy and regulations
Perform other duties and tasks assigned as consistent with the nature and scope of the position
Skills and Qualifications:
Bachelor of Pharmacy
License to practice in the province seeking employment
Superior interpersonal skills
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Computer proficiency
At least 2 years of experience working in a pharmacy and at least 2 years of management experience
Understand costing and pricing
Complete understanding of till operation and cash-up procedures
Proven track record in store merchandising and driving sales
Demonstrated high level of communication, interpersonal & conflict resolution skills
Ability to ensure compliance of established company policy
Demonstrated ability to provide 100% customer service
Excellent command of the English language both verbal and written
Ability to work well with both health care professionals and the general public
