We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Pharmacy Manager to oversee pharmacy operations at Fraser Lake Medicine Centre. The ideal candidate will possess extensive knowledge of medical and pharmaceutical practices, and a commitment to delivering exceptional patient care.
Our family owns the Fraser Lake and Vanderhoof Medicine Centre's, independent stores focused on strong community connections.
The building our pharmacy is in has an apartment on the second level that is available for the pharmacist that takes the position to live in for free. Utilities/wifi included.
We have a long standing, reliable support staff. One of our support staff has recently completed pharmacy technician schooling and we expect to be licensed by Summer 2026.
Working hours 9:30-5:30 Monday to Friday.
Hoping for a 3 year arrangement, but open to longer or shorter term options. Signing bonus available and can be discussed based on length of term commitment.
Duties
Manage daily pharmacy operations, ensuring compliance with all regulatory standards and organizational policies
Supervise pharmacy staff, including pharmacists, technicians, and support personnel, fostering a collaborative team environment
Oversee medication dispensing, administration, and inventory control to maintain accuracy and safety
Collaborate with healthcare providers to optimize medication therapy plans, especially in acute care and pediatrics settings
Ensure proper documentation of patient records, medication histories, and treatment plans using medical terminology
Implement protocols for medication safety, storage, and disposal in accordance with legal requirements
Provide training and ongoing education for staff on new medications, procedures, and best practices in patient care
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of pharmaceutical developments and hospital protocols related to medication management
Qualifications
Valid pharmacist license with current registration in the state of practice
Proven experience in patient care, including medication administration and clinical decision-making
Excellent understanding of medical terminology and pharmaceutical regulations
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy in documentation
Commitment to high standards of patient safety and quality care
