Newnham & Slipp Pharmacy is looking for a pharmacy assistant to join our team. We are looking for someone who is dependable, reliable, and responsible. We are looking for someone who is detail oriented and willing to do whatever it takes to get the job done right.

Responsibilities

Assist customers in selecting, filling, and paying for their prescriptions

Answer questions about our products and services Prepare, stock, and label prescription bottles and other products Process incoming prescriptions and outgoing prescriptions Check and verify the accuracy of incoming prescription bottles and label them accordingly Resolve any issues that may arise with prescription drugs Inform management about any changes in medication that may affect patient safety or the safety of staff members Keep the pharmacy clean, organized, and stocked without out-of-date medication Provide moral, legal, and ethical support to customers at all times Communicate with insurance companies and billing departments to ensure proper billing procedures are being followed

Skills

Proven experience as pharmacy assistant or similar role in a pharmacy, or other retail or customer-service experience

Knowledge of medication handling and use as well as safety rules/guidelines Ability to read and understand patient's medical information (prescriptions, warnings, side effects/procedures) and note them on the patient's chart Excellent computer skills Excellent communication skills (verbal & written)
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $18.00-$25.00 per hour
