Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Pharmacy Assistant to join our healthcare team. This role involves supporting pharmacists in dispensing medications, managing patient interactions, and ensuring smooth pharmacy operations, knowledge on Kroll dispensing software. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of medical terminology, excellent patient care skills, and previous experience in hospital or pharmacy settings. Duties

Assist pharmacists with medication preparation and dispensing Manage inventory, stock supplies, and ensure medication storage compliance Provide exceptional patient care by answering questions and offering guidance under supervision Verify prescriptions for accuracy and completeness Maintain accurate records of medication transactions and patient information Support medication administration processes as needed Ensure adherence to safety protocols and proper handling of pharmaceuticals Assist with administrative tasks such as data entry and filing, and cash

Experience

Prior hospital or pharmacy technician experience is highly preferred Knowledge of medical terminology related to pharmaceuticals and patient care Experience with medication administration processes is a plus Strong organizational skills with attention to detail Excellent communication skills for interacting with patients and healthcare professionals Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced healthcare environment
