Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Pharmacy Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in supporting pharmacists in delivering high-quality patient care. This position requires a strong understanding of medical terminology and medication administration, as well as the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Hospital experience and prior pharmacy technician experience are highly desirable.

Responsibilities

Assist pharmacists in preparing and dispensing medications accurately and efficiently. Maintain inventory levels by ordering, receiving, and stocking medications and supplies. Provide exceptional patient care by answering questions and addressing concerns regarding medications. Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and safety protocols within the pharmacy. Maintain patient records and ensure confidentiality of sensitive information. Collaborate with healthcare professionals to facilitate effective medication management. Perform administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments and managing phone inquiries.

Skills

Strong understanding of medical terminology related to pharmaceuticals and patient care. Previous experience in a hospital setting is preferred, enhancing familiarity with clinical workflows. Experience as a pharmacy technician is an asset, showcasing knowledge of medication administration processes. Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with patients and healthcare team members. Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently. Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment while maintaining a focus on patient care. Pay: $21.00-$24.00 per hour

Expected hours: 35 - 40 per week
