Job Description

Neighbourly Pharmacy is looking for a Pharmacy Assistant to join our team at Pharmasave Crescent Park Pharmacy in Prince Albert, Saskatchewan.

Patient Focused Care Responsibilities:

Support pharmacists and pharmacy technicians in providing high-quality patient care Greet customers and answer phone calls in a professional manner Assist with entering, labelling, and packaging prescriptions under the supervision of a pharmacist or pharmacy technician Accurately count, measure, and package medications according to established protocols Receive and stock medication and supply shipments, monitor inventory levels, rotate stock, and support inventory audits Keep the pharmacy area clean and organized; safely dispose of expired medications and hazardous waste in accordance with regulations Perform clerical tasks such as filing, faxing, scanning, and assist with insurance claims and prescription transfers Assist with daily pharmacy operations and perform other duties as assigned

Delivery Duties:

A valid driver's licence is required, along with access to a reliable personal vehicle for occasional pharmacy deliveries. Reimbursement will be provided for the use of your personal vehicle for these deliveries.

Qualifications:

No experience is required. Completion of a pharmacy assistant program is an asset. Previous experience within a pharmacy is an asset (on-the-job training will be provided) Excellent verbal and written communication skills, ability to thrive in a team environment Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office and Kroll pharmacy software is an asset (training will be provided) Ability to stand for long periods and occasional lifting of boxes/containers Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed

Schedule:

12 to 20 hours per week (Part-time). The store is open Monday to Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., and Saturday from 12:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Typical shifts will be scheduled within these days and times, closing shifts and weekends.
