Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Pharmacy Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting the pharmacy operations by assisting pharmacists in providing excellent patient care and ensuring the efficient management of medication distribution. This position requires a strong understanding of medical terminology and medication administration, along with a commitment to maintaining high standards of accuracy and professionalism.

Duties

Assist pharmacists in preparing and dispensing medications to patients. Maintain accurate patient records and manage inventory levels of pharmaceuticals. Provide exceptional customer service by addressing patient inquiries and concerns. Support medication administration processes under the supervision of licensed pharmacists. Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient care. Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and pharmacy policies. Perform clerical duties such as filing, data entry, and handling prescription orders.

Qualifications

Pharmacy experience is highly desirable. Knowledge/ Experience in compounding an asset Strong knowledge of medical terminology related to pharmaceuticals. Experience in patient care, demonstrating compassion and effective communication skills. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. A commitment to maintaining confidentiality and adhering to ethical standards in pharmacy practice.
