Pharmacy Assistant

Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated Pharmacy Assistant to join our team. As a Pharmacy Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting pharmacists in various tasks to ensure the smooth operation of the pharmacy. This position offers an exciting opportunity for individuals interested in medication administration, patient care, medical terminology, and working in a community pharmacy setting.

Duties:
- Assist pharmacists in dispensing medications accurately and efficiently.
- Maintain pharmacy inventory by checking pharmaceutical stock to determine inventory level, anticipating needed medications and supplies, placing and expediting orders, verifying receipt, and removing outdated drugs.
- Process prescriptions accurately and timely.
- Provide excellent customer service by answering phone calls, assisting patients at the counter, and addressing inquiries.
- Ensure compliance with all pharmacy regulations and laws.

Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience or certification as a Pharmacy Assistant is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in all tasks.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $17.85-$21.00 per hour

Expected hours: 35 - 40 per week
