Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Pharmacy Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting pharmacists in delivering high-quality patient care.
Duties
Assist pharmacists in preparing and dispensing medications accurately. Provide excellent patient care by answering questions and addressing concerns regarding medications. Maintain accurate records of medication distribution and inventory management. Support the pharmacy team in managing medication administration processes. Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and safety protocols within the pharmacy setting. Collaborate with healthcare staff to enhance patient outcomes through effective medication management. Other tasks as assigned.
Experience
Previous community pharmacy experience is highly desirable, providing familiarity with a clinical environment. Proficiency in
PropelRx and/or Kroll
is an asset but not required. Background in patient care, demonstrating compassion and understanding towards patients' needs.
