Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Pharmacy Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will support pharmacists in delivering high-quality pharmaceutical care and ensuring the efficient operation of the pharmacy. This role is crucial in enhancing patient care by assisting with medication management and providing excellent customer service.

Duties

Assist pharmacists in preparing and dispensing medications accurately. Manage inventory levels, including ordering and restocking medications and supplies. Provide exceptional patient care by answering questions and addressing concerns regarding medications. Maintain accurate records of prescriptions, patient information, and medication administration. Utilize medical terminology to communicate effectively with healthcare professionals and patients. Support the pharmacy team in adhering to safety protocols and regulatory compliance. Assist in the training of new staff members as needed.

Experience

Previous experience in a hospital setting is preferred, showcasing familiarity with a clinical environment. Experience as a pharmacy technician is highly desirable, demonstrating knowledge of pharmacy operations. Strong understanding of medical terminology related to pharmaceuticals and patient care practices. Proven ability to assist with medication administration processes effectively.
