We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Pharmacy Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting pharmacists in providing high-quality patient care. This position involves assisting with medication administration, managing inventory, and ensuring the pharmacy operates efficiently in a hospital or retail setting.
Duties
Assist pharmacists in preparing and dispensing medications to patients.
Provide exceptional patient care by answering questions and addressing concerns regarding medications.
Maintain accurate records of medication administration and patient profiles.
Manage inventory by ordering, stocking, and organizing pharmaceutical supplies.
Ensure compliance with all safety and regulatory standards within the pharmacy environment.
Utilize medical terminology effectively to communicate with healthcare professionals and patients.
Support the pharmacy team in daily operations, including cleaning and maintaining work areas.
Requirements
Previous experience as a Pharmacy Technician or in a similar role is preferred but not mandatory.
Strong understanding of medical terminology related to pharmaceuticals.
Excellent communication skills with a focus on patient care and customer service.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
Familiarity with medication administration processes is an asset.
