```Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and compassionate Pharmacy Assistant to join our team. As a Pharmacy Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting the pharmacy team in providing excellent patient care and ensuring the smooth operation of the pharmacy. If you have a strong background in pharmacy operations and are passionate about helping others, we encourage you to apply. No evening shifts (most shifts are 10am to 6pm) and very limited weekend shifts (10am to 2pm typically). Come work with us in a low-stress environment.

Duties:
- Assist pharmacists in dispensing medications accurately and efficiently
- Prepare prescription orders by counting, pouring, and labeling medications
- Maintain proper storage and organization of medications
- Process insurance claims and handle billing inquiries
- Provide exceptional customer service to patients and healthcare professionals
- Answer phone calls and address inquiries or direct calls to the appropriate staff member
- Maintain inventory levels and order supplies as needed
- Assist with medication compounding under the supervision of a pharmacist
- Follow all safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment

Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Completion of a pharmacy technician program preferred
- Previous experience as a pharmacy assistant or technician is an asset
- Knowledge of medical terminology and pharmaceutical calculations
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in medication preparation
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Proficient computer skills for data entry and prescription processing

Skills:

- At least 2 years experience working in a Pharmacy

- Ability to use a Pharmacy Software Program such as Kroll, Healthwatch, etc.
- Patient care
- Knowledge of medical terminology

Wage rate per hour is based on level of experience.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $22.00-$30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 28 - 40 per week
