We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Pharmacy Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting the pharmacy operations, ensuring that patients receive the highest quality of care. This position requires a strong understanding of medical terminology and medication administration, along with excellent communication skills to interact effectively with both patients and healthcare professionals.

Responsibilities

Assist pharmacists in preparing and dispensing medications accurately and efficiently. Blister packaging (primary role) Maintain inventory levels by monitoring stock and placing orders for pharmaceuticals and supplies as needed. Provide exceptional patient care by answering questions, offering guidance on medication usage, and addressing concerns. Ensure compliance with all pharmacy regulations, policies, and procedures to maintain a safe environment for patients and staff. Process prescriptions accurately, including verifying patient information and medication details. Blister packaging for seniors Collaborate with healthcare professionals within the hospital to ensure optimal patient outcomes. Maintain cleanliness and organization within the pharmacy workspace.

Skills

Proficiency in medical terminology to facilitate effective communication with healthcare providers and patients. Knowledge of medication administration practices to ensure safe handling of pharmaceuticals. Strong patient care skills, demonstrating empathy and professionalism in all interactions. Experience as a pharmacy technician is preferred but not required; training will be provided for the right candidate. Familiarity with hospital pharmacy operations is a plus, enhancing collaboration within the healthcare team.
