We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Pharmacy Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting pharmacy operations, ensuring the accurate and efficient dispensing of medications, and providing exceptional patient care. This position requires a strong understanding of medical terminology and medication administration, as well as the ability to work effectively in a hospital environment.
Duties
Assist pharmacists in preparing and dispensing medications to patients.
Maintain accurate patient records and medication inventories.
Provide excellent customer service by answering questions and addressing concerns from patients and healthcare staff.
Ensure compliance with all pharmacy regulations and safety protocols.
Support medication administration processes under the supervision of licensed pharmacists.
Organize and stock pharmacy supplies, ensuring that all medications are stored properly.
Collaborate with healthcare professionals to enhance patient care and medication management.
Deliver
prescriptions safely and promptly to patients and partner pharmacies.
Skills
Knowledge of pharmacy Assistant practices and procedures.
Familiarity with medical terminology related to medications and treatments.
Experience in a hospital setting is preferred but not required.
Strong communication skills for effective interaction with patients and healthcare providers.
Attention to detail to ensure accuracy in medication dispensing and record keeping.
Knowledge/Experience with Kroll is an asset, but we can train right person
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $16.00-$17.00 per hour
