Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Pharmacy Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting pharmacists in providing exceptional patient care and ensuring the efficient operation of the pharmacy. This position is perfect for individuals who are passionate about healthcare and have a strong interest in medication administration and medical terminology.

Responsibilities

Assist pharmacists in preparing and dispensing medications accurately and efficiently. Provide excellent patient care by answering inquiries, providing information about medications, and addressing patient concerns. Maintain accurate records of medication inventory, including ordering and restocking supplies as needed. Ensure compliance with all pharmacy regulations and standards, including safety protocols. Collaborate with healthcare professionals to facilitate effective communication regarding patient medication needs. Utilize medical terminology to assist in the interpretation of prescriptions and medication orders. Support the pharmacy team in various administrative tasks, including filing, data entry, and managing patient records.

Qualifications

Previous experience as a Pharmacy Technician or in a hospital pharmacy setting is preferred but not required. Strong understanding of medical terminology related to pharmaceuticals and patient care. Excellent communication skills with a focus on providing outstanding customer service. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. A commitment to patient care and safety is essential for success in this role. Must be able to work flexible hours, including evenings or weekends as needed.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $17.85-$19.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
