Position Summary:
Reporting to the Clinical Manager of Pharmacy Services you will be an integral member of the Pharmacy team and you will contribute to the creation of an innovative program to provide oversight of psychotropic prescribing and ensure appropriate, safe and judicious use of psychotropic medicines across the organisation and within the mental health units. You will be evaluating evidence-based medicine to support your recommendations and to develop improvement strategies for drug utilization.
You will be a key member of the multidisciplinary team, developing a collaborative approach to managing prescriptions of psychotropics across THP. A key role of the position is to actively optimise the appropriate use of psychotropic medicines, reduce adverse events and improve patient care and their experiences across THP. This position will develop, lead and operationalize high quality clinical pharmacy initiatives and services to support optimal use of psychotropic medications in liaison with other stakeholders.
We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated pharmacists with expertise in psychotropic medication management, and an excellent understanding of clinical practice approaches to supporting patients with complex mental health issues and relevant training and experience working in mental health settings.
