Job description

We are looking for dynamic consultants to grow our Life Sciences team in Toronto. Your experience, knowledge, and commitment will help us to face our client\'s challenges. You will be supporting different projects through your expertise as a MES Engineer. The selected team will work closely with key stakeholders in a variety of departments to ensure the deployment is conducted in alignment with all stakeholder requirements (eg. operational & quality requirements, proper integration with external systems such as SCADA, ERP, data historian and others). Implementation of EBRs and related documents to model the full end-to-end manufacturing activities.
Your main responsibilities are:
  • All documentation deliverables will be consistent with requirenments and generally accepted industrial standards.
  • Meet with the project leads at least weekly to review deliverables, confirm expectations, and address issues / concerns.
  • Ensure that the solution being provided follows standard pharmaceutical industry practices (e.g. GxP)
  • Adhere to code of ethics and other policy related to transparency and good corporate citizenship.

Requirements:
  • Must have experience with MES and EBR development, preferably in a pharmaceutical/biotech setting.
  • Experience with Werum PasX MES is preferred.
  • Experience in configuring EBRs to properly interface with external systems (such as OSIsoft PI and Emerson DeltaV) is preferred.
  • Good understanding of the IT Software Development Life Cycle (SLDC) and Project Management Methodologies.
  • Knowledge of biopharmaceutical/vaccine manufacturing processes and equipment.
  • Strong understanding of risk analysis.
  • Excellent analytical, prioritization, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Good technical writing skills.
  • Ability to adapt to changes and various paces within a project.
  • Prior experience in managing computer validation projects within the Pharmaceutical industry is preferred.
  • The candidates must have working experience with all the MS Office tools (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Visio, Project, etc.). Experience using electronic document management systems (such as SharePoint) is desired.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work in a challenging and fast paced environment are required.
  • The candidates must have experience working with wide range of stakeholders (customers, end users, sponsor, vendor, project team, extended team, etc) to develop relationships, identify and define requirements/gaps, and educate users.
