Purrdy Paws Pet Grooming Spa is hiring an experienced Receptionist at our newly renovated location in Stittsville, ON!

The ideal candidate will have:
5+ years customer service & reception experience with a diverse community
1 year min dog/cat experience (unfortunately, having your own furry friend doesn't count!)* Some experience with client management
Ability to multi task in a fast paced environment
Demonstrates high level of professionalism
Can work independently and part of a team
Be extremely organized and have excellent time management skills
Proficient in decision-making and team management
Possess excellent communication skills both verbal and written
Be able to go up and down stairs and lift up to 50 lbs
Has attention to detail
Bonus: has some social media and/or marketing experience!
Bonus: has experience bathing pets in a salon setting or perhaps working in veterinary as a VA
Duties include but not limited to:
Answering multiple phone lines booking appointments
Handling client inquiries in-person and over the phone re: their pets and appointments
Educating clients about pet care as it pertains to coat maintenance, and various services Purrdy Paws offers
Selling retail product and assisting walk in clients as needed
Assisting groomers with checking in and out their dogs
Assisting with bathing/drying and nail care of pets
Organizing paperwork, sending invoices, and taking messages effectively
Posting on company social media pages
Cleaning of the front retail/reception area of the salon and more....
Our ideal candidate is a permanent full time employment with room for growth. We are looking for a person who has a passion for a career in the pet care industry and a strong interest in animal health and well-being, as well as strong administrative/reception skills to bring our team together! This position can lead to a management role for this location for the right candidate.
This candidate will be creative and have new and fresh ideas to bring to the table and have a desire to help grow and expand the business with our fantastic management team.
PLEASE NOTE: Initial training period TBD will be conducted at our Glebe location onsite with our operations manager. The role at Stittsville will require the ability to work independently at times.
