Job Overview


We are seeking a friendly and organized Salon Receptionist/assistant to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in creating a welcoming environment for our clients while managing the front desk operations efficiently. This position requires excellent customer service skills, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced salon setting. The Salon Receptionist / Assistant will have a variety of front desk responsibilities including but not limited to answering inquiries, setting appointments, cashing out clients, rebooking, sales, marketing, assistant to stylists, back up for Shampooing, as well as Cleaning and maintaining cleanliness of salon.

Duties



Greet clients as they arrive and provide exceptional customer service throughout their visit. Manage appointment scheduling through our POS system, ensuring optimal booking and minimizing wait times. Handle phone inquiries with professionalism, demonstrating excellent phone etiquette. Assist with retail sales by upselling products and conducting product demos to enhance customer experience. Maintain the reception area, ensuring it is tidy and stocked with necessary materials. Process transactions accurately, including cash handling and cashiering duties. Support merchandising efforts by organizing product displays and managing inventory levels. Collaborate with salon staff to ensure smooth operations and provide support as needed. Utilize basic math skills for retail math calculations during sales transactions. Assist stylist as needed, including caping and shampoo Maintain the cleanliness of the salon including sweeping and laundry Flexible schedule to open and close (keyholder)

Qualifications



Previous experience in a retail or salon environment is preferred, showcasing strong customer service skills. Supervising experience is a plus, demonstrating leadership capabilities within a team setting. Must be familiar with Marketing including Social Media updates and salon marketing, (facebook, instagram, webpage, youtube) Proficiency in using POS systems for appointment scheduling and sales processing. Strong communication skills to effectively interact with clients and staff members. Familiarity with stocking procedures and inventory management practices within a retail context. A passion for the beauty industry and an eagerness to learn about products and services offered at the salon. Hours range from 24 hours per week up to 35 hour per week.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $17.20-$20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 25 - 35 per week
