Murphy's Mutts is seeking a dedicated and passionate Dog Groomer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a love for animals and a keen eye for detail, ensuring that every pet leaves our facility looking and feeling their best. As a Dog Groomer, you will be responsible for providing grooming services to various breeds of dogs, maintaining their hygiene, and enhancing their appearance while ensuring their comfort throughout the grooming process.

Duties

Perform grooming services including bathing, drying, brushing, clipping, and styling pets according to breed standards or client preferences. Assess the condition of pets' coats and skin to determine appropriate grooming techniques and products. Maintain a clean and organized grooming area, adhering to safety and sanitation protocols. Communicate effectively with pet owners to understand their grooming needs and provide recommendations. Handle pets safely and compassionately, ensuring their comfort during the grooming process. Provide excellent customer service by building rapport with clients and addressing any concerns or questions they may have.

Skills

Strong customer service skills to interact positively with pet owners and ensure satisfaction. Ability to perform heavy lifting as required when handling larger breeds. Proficient in various grooming techniques for different breeds of dogs. Excellent attention to detail to ensure high-quality grooming results. Strong communication skills to effectively convey information about pet care to clients. Patience and compassion when working with animals of varying temperaments.

Qualifications

Previous experience in pet grooming is a must. Strong communication skills and customer service to ensure a positive grooming experience. Must exercise patience and genuine care of the dogs and their owners. Must have a desire to work as part of a team and enjoy working with others to achieve a common goal.

Pay: $15.80-$30.00 per hour
