Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Pet Groomer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a love for animals and experience in grooming various breeds of dogs and cats. This role involves providing high-quality grooming services while ensuring the comfort and safety of pets. The Pet Groomer will also engage with pet owners, providing exceptional customer service and building lasting relationships.

Responsibilities

Perform grooming services including bathing, brushing, trimming, and nail clipping for dogs and cats of all breeds. Assess the condition of pets' coats and skin, identifying any issues that may require veterinary attention. Maintain a clean and organized grooming area, ensuring all tools and equipment are sanitized. Communicate effectively with pet owners regarding grooming services, pet care tips, and any concerns observed during grooming. Handle pets safely and compassionately during the grooming process, ensuring their comfort at all times. Assist with heavy lifting when necessary, including larger breeds or multiple pets. Stay updated on the latest grooming techniques and trends to provide the best service possible.

Requirements

Previous experience as a Pet Groomer or in a related field is preferred. Strong customer service skills to interact positively with pet owners. Ability to perform heavy lifting as required when handling larger animals. Knowledge of various dog and cat breeds, their grooming needs, and behavior. Excellent communication skills to effectively convey information to clients. A genuine love for animals and a commitment to their well-being. Certification from a recognized grooming school is a plus but not mandatory.
