Dog Washer / Bather - Employee Description
We're looking for a caring, detail-oriented team member to join our grooming staff. The dog washer plays an important role in ensuring pets are clean, comfortable, and ready for their grooming appointment.
Key Responsibilities:
Bathe, dry, and brush dogs of all breeds and sizes. Safely handle pets, keeping their comfort and well-being a top priority. Trim nails and clean ears as directed. Assist groomers by preparing dogs for haircuts and styling. Maintain a clean and sanitary work area, including tubs, grooming tools, and laundry. Communicate with the grooming team about special needs, concerns, or behavior notes.
Qualifications:
Previous experience working with dogs (professional or personal) is an asset. Comfortable lifting and handling pets of various sizes. Patience, compassion, and strong attention to detail. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Work Environment:
Hands-on, active role with lots of interaction with animals. Team-based atmosphere with opportunities to learn more about grooming.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $18.00-$20.00 per hour
Expected hours: 32 - 40 per week
Work Location: In person
