Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Pet Sitter to provide exceptional care for pets in their homes. This role is perfect for animal lovers who enjoy spending time with pets and can manage various responsibilities while ensuring the safety and well-being of the animals. As a Pet Sitter, you will be entrusted with the care of pets when their owners are away, providing them with companionship, exercise, and attention.

Duties

Provide daily care for pets, including feeding, walking, and administering medication as needed (excluding injections). Ensure the safety and comfort of pets in your care by maintaining a clean and secure environment. Engage with pets through playtime and exercise to promote their physical and mental well-being. Communicate effectively with pet owners and management regarding the pet's needs and any concerns that may arise during your time with them. Handle heavy lifting when necessary, such as moving large pet supplies or assisting larger animals. Maintain accurate records of pet care routines, medication administration, and any incidents that occur during your sitting period. Must have overnight availability as Pawsitive Paws is introducing overnight sitting to our service list, and this is the position we are currently hiring for. Our ideal candidate has pet care experience (personal or professional) but preferably does not have pets at home as this position requires you to stay overnight at our clients house with their pets, while the client is away.

Experience

A background in animal care or experience with various types of pets is highly valued but not mandatory. A genuine love for animals and a commitment to providing high-quality care is a must. Must have an Alberta Class 5 Drivers License and reliable transportation Must be willing and able to provide a clean criminal record check Must be 18+ due to insurance coverages Must be located on the South End of Edmonton of willing to commute to South Edmonton/Beaumont

Pay: From $55.00 per day

Expected hours: No less than 5 per week
