Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Pet Bather to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing high-quality bathing and grooming services to pets, ensuring their comfort and well-being. The ideal candidate will have a love for animals and the ability to handle various breeds with care and professionalism. Monday to Friday hours. Weekends we are closed.

Duties

Bathe and groom pets according to breed standards and individual client requests Ensure the safety and comfort of pets during the bathing process Use appropriate bathing techniques and equipment for different coat types Maintain cleanliness of grooming areas, tools, and equipment Assist with animal restraint during grooming sessions as necessary Monitor the health and behavior of pets during their stay Read and apply instructions of services provided for each pet

Skills

Strong dog handling skills with experience in various breeds Knowledge of animal care practices, including pet grooming techniques Experience in veterinary settings is a plus (veterinary technician or assistant experience) Familiarity with animal restraint methods to ensure safety during grooming Ability to lift heavy animals when necessary, ensuring proper handling techniques are used Excellent customer service skills to interact positively with pet owners Experience in kennel environments or pet sitting is advantageous Understanding of dog training principles is beneficial but not required Must have own means of transportation
