Job Title: Pest Control Technician

Location: Toronto & GTA

Salary Range: $36,000 - $50,000 (Base Salary plus Commissions)

Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and professional Pest Control Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for inspecting customer premises, identifying pest problems, and implementing effective pest control solutions. This role offers a competitive salary with opportunities for commissions based on performance.

Key Responsibilities:

Inspection and Identification:

Conduct thorough inspections of residential and commercial properties to identify pest infestations. Determine the type of pests and the extent of the infestation.

Treatment Application:

Develop and implement effective pest control treatment plans. Apply pesticides and other pest control products safely and efficiently.

Customer Service:

Communicate with customers to explain pest control procedures and safety measures. Provide recommendations for preventing future infestations. Address customer questions and concerns promptly and professionally.

Documentation and Reporting:

Maintain accurate records of services provided, including treatment plans, products used, and customer interactions. Prepare detailed reports for customers and management.

Compliance and Safety:

Adhere to all company policies, provincial regulations, and safety protocols regarding pest control operations. Ensure proper handling and storage of pest control products.

Sales and Business Development:

Identify opportunities to upsell additional services and products to customers. Generate leads and referrals through excellent customer service and professional interactions. Achieve sales targets and contribute to the company's revenue growth.

Qualifications:

Education:

High school diploma or equivalent. Additional certification in pest control is required.

Experience:

Minimum of 1 year of experience in pest control is required.

Licensing:

Must hold a valid pest control technician license in Ontario or be willing to obtain one.

Skills:

Strong knowledge of pest control methods, products, and safety procedures. Excellent communication and customer service skills. Ability to work independently and manage time effectively. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Basic computer skills for record-keeping and reporting.

Physical Requirements:

Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. Comfortable working in various environmental conditions (indoors, outdoors, confined spaces). Ability to stand, walk, and bend for extended periods.
