We are seeking a highly motivated and knowledgeable
Personal Trainer
with a strong background in
sports performance, agility, and plyometric training
to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience working with athletes of all levels--youth, amateur, or professional--to improve their speed, power, coordination, and overall athleticism. You will design and implement high-impact training programs that focus on explosive movement, injury prevention, and sport-specific conditioning.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and deliver individualized and group training programs that enhance athletic performance, focusing on agility, speed, power, and plyometric capacity.
Conduct athletic assessments and performance evaluations to track progress and adjust programming accordingly.
Instruct clients in proper exercise form and technique to maximize performance and minimize injury risk.
Educate athletes on recovery techniques, mobility, and injury prevention strategies.
Collaborate with coaches, physical therapists, and other specialists to support the athlete's holistic development.
Maintain detailed records of client progress and adapt programming to meet evolving needs.
Stay current on trends, research, and techniques in sports science, functional movement, and performance training.
Ensure a safe, motivating, and energetic training environment.
Qualifications
Certification from an accredited organization (e.g., NASM, NSCA, ACSM, ACE); CSCS or PES is strongly preferred.
Proven experience (2+ years) in sports performance coaching or athletic training.
In-depth knowledge of biomechanics, plyometrics, speed and agility drills, and conditioning methodologies.
CPR/AED certification (or willingness to obtain before start date).
Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate and engage athletes.
Ability to adapt training styles to suit different sports, age groups, and skill levels.
Preferred Skills
Experience with sport-specific training (e.g., soccer, basketball, football, track).
Familiarity with performance testing tools and technologies (e.g., timing gates, force plates, Vertimax).
Background in kinesiology, exercise science, or athletic training is a plus.
Work Environment & Schedule
May include early morning, evening, and weekend hours depending on client schedules.
Work may take place in a gym, training facility, outdoor field, or client's location.
