Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Chinese Speaking Support Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing assistance and care to individuals with varying needs, including seniors and those with disabilities. Duties

Provide direct support to clients in daily living activities, including personal hygiene, meal preparation, and medication administration. Assist clients with mobility and transportation needs, ensuring their safety at all times. Engage in meaningful conversations and activities that promote social interaction and mental well-being. Maintain accurate records of client progress and report any changes in health or behavior to the appropriate healthcare professionals. Collaborate with healthcare teams to develop and implement individualized care plans tailored to each client's needs. Ensure a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for clients, adhering to all health and safety regulations.

Skills

Experience in

dementia care

senior care

hospice care

is highly desirable. Familiarity with

medical terminology

is beneficial for effective communication within healthcare settings. Ability to perform

heavy lifting

as required when assisting clients with mobility challenges. Knowledge of

medication administration

protocols to ensure client safety and compliance. Experience working with individuals with disabilities, demonstrating patience and understanding of their unique needs. Previous experience as a

nurse

or in a

nursing home
