Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Chinese-speaking Support Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide essential support to individuals in need, focusing on enhancing their quality of life through personalized care and assistance. This role is vital in ensuring the well-being of clients, particularly those in senior care, hospice care, and assisted living environments. The Support Worker will work closely with clients to assist with daily activities, medication administration, and emotional support.

Responsibilities

Provide compassionate care to clients in various settings including nursing homes and assisted living facilities. Assist clients with daily living activities such as meal preparation, personal hygiene, and mobility. Administer medications as prescribed and monitor client health conditions. Offer companionship and emotional support to enhance the mental well-being of clients. Maintain accurate records of client care and report any changes in health status to the appropriate healthcare professionals. Engage clients in social activities and promote cognitive engagement, particularly for those with dementia or other cognitive impairments. Collaborate with case management teams to develop and implement individualized care plans.

Experience

Previous experience in senior care, hospice care, or a related field is preferred. Familiarity with medical terminology and medication administration is advantageous. Experience working with individuals with dementia or other cognitive challenges is a plus. A background in nursing or related healthcare fields can enhance your candidacy. Strong interpersonal skills and a genuine passion for helping others are essential for success in this role.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $23.19-$24.36 per hour

Expected hours: 5 - 15 per week
