Job Description

We are seeking a compassionate and reliable Personal Support Worker to assist a client in their recovery from recent surgery and daily living

activities in a home setting in Scarborough area (Lawrence Ave East & Meadowvale Rd).

Scope and Responsibilities

Assisting with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) and Instrumental Activities of Daily Living (IADLs) Ensuring the safety and well-being of clients at all times Monitoring and reporting any signs of post-surgery complications Providing emotional support, mental stimulation, and meaningful companionship

Scheduling

12 hours day or nights 4 to 5 days, Monday - Sunday Actual schedule will be based on candidates availability

Location

Residential home Intersection: Lawrence Ave East & Meadowvale Rd. Most appropriate for applicants willing to travel in the South East Scarborough or near the Port Union area

Minimum Qualifications

Personal Support Worker (PSW) Diploma from an accredited institution NACC certificate if credentials were obtained from a private career college Has a valid First Aid and CPR certificate Has a valid Mask Fit certificate Has the basic skills and knowledge in caregiving such as personal care techniques, infection control, and basic medical terms Working knowledge of spoken and written English and ability to take direction from appropriate professional hospital employees
