Newmarket, Aurora, and Bradford

area.

About the Role:

You will assist clients with everyday tasks to help them maintain their independence at home. This may include companionship, personal care, transportation, house cleaning, personal hygiene, preparing meals and/or other home, health and wellness related activities. Shifts are available

immediately

flexible hours

including mornings, evenings, weekdays, and weekends.

Duties

Assist clients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support. Provide patient care by monitoring health conditions and reporting any changes to healthcare professionals. Support meal preparation and ensure clients receive proper nutrition according to dietary needs. Administer medications as prescribed and assist with medication management. Engage clients in meaningful activities that promote social interaction and mental stimulation. Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing light housekeeping duties. Assist clients with heavy lifting when necessary, ensuring their safety during transfers. Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance the overall well-being of clients. Work collaboratively with healthcare teams to develop individualized care plans tailored to each client's needs.

Qualifications

Able to legally work in Canada PSW certificate Up-to-date vaccinations required: Neg TB, Diphtheria + Tetanus, MMR, Varicella/Zoster, Hep B Recent Vulnerable Sector Check (within the last 6 months) CPR First Aid Certificate Experience in assisted living, nursing home settings, or senior care is preferred. Previous experience working with people with disabilities or providing Alzheimer's & dementia care is highly valued. Strong housekeeping skills, including the ability to perform cleaning tasks effectively. Ability to perform heavy lifting as required by client needs. Excellent communication skills and a compassionate demeanor are essential for this role.
