About the Role

As a

Support Worker

, you will play a vital role in helping clients maintain their comfort, safety, and independence at home or in care settings. You'll provide hands-on assistance with daily living activities and emotional support, ensuring every client feels valued and cared for.

Key Responsibilities

Assist with daily living activities, including bathing, dressing, and mobility support Prepare nutritious meals while adhering to dietary needs and preferences Provide dementia care and support to individuals with memory impairments Cue for medications Observe and report on client condition or care needs Support clients in long-term care or home environments with compassion and professionalism Offer palliative/hospice care and emotional support to clients and families Maintain a clean, organized, and safe environment for all clients Communicate effectively with clients, families, and healthcare professionals

Qualifications

Previous experience in caregiving, home care, or a related field preferred Knowledge of senior care best practices and client safety standards Ability to manage the physical demands of the role, including assisting with transfers or mobility PSW Certificate or equivalent training preferred First Aid/CPR Certification an asset Valid Driver's Licence and reliable transportation preferred Ability to communicate effectively in English
