Instructional Responsibilities
Deliver theory and practical instruction using adult-learning methodologies, including:
Lectures and demonstrations
Interactive discussions and group activities
Independent and group projects
Clearly communicate evaluation criteria and performance expectations to students
Organize and manage classroom and online instructional time effectively
Adapt teaching strategies to accommodate varying learning needs and capacities
Monitor student progress and provide timely academic feedback
Prepare lesson plans, teaching materials, and daily instructional breakdowns
Prepare, administer, and evaluate quizzes, tests, assignments, and final examinations
Provide individualized tutoring or remedial support when required
Ensure all learning objectives and modules are delivered according to program schedules
Maintain fair, consistent, and professional classroom discipline
Administrative Responsibilities
Track and document student attendance and instructional hours in accordance with college procedures
Maintain accurate and complete academic and student records
Upload and regularly update evaluation records on the College's electronic systems
Submit monthly reports to the Program Coordinator in accordance with accreditation requirements
Participate in staff meetings, student orientations, and graduation ceremonies as required
Adhere to all College policies, procedures, and regulatory standards
Professional Responsibilities
Maintain active professional registration with the appropriate governing body
Maintain complete and accurate documentation within assigned areas of responsibility
Perform other related duties as assigned by the Supervisor or Program Coordinator
Qualifications and ExperienceRequired
Registered Nurse (RN) or Registered Practical Nurse (RPN)
Minimum
4 years of professional healthcare experience
Registration in good standing with the
College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO)
Mandatory previous teaching experience
with adult learners
Clear
Criminal Background Check
Strong working knowledge of:
Microsoft Office Suite
Google Workspace (Gmail, Docs, Calendar)
Zoom and online learning platforms
Assets
Experience teaching in a
private career college
environment
Knowledge of the
Private Career Colleges Act
and regulatory compliance
Experience delivering hybrid or online healthcare education

Theory Classes (Online - Zoom):
Monday to Friday:
5:00 PM - 8:00 PM (Atlantic Time)
Clinical/Lab Instruction (On-Campus):
Saturdays:
10:00 AM - 2:00 PM (Atlantic Time)
Schedule may vary to accommodate program or batch requirements
