Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated female Personal Care Aide to provide essential support and assistance to individuals in need of care. This role involves working closely with clients, including seniors to enhance their quality of life through personal care, companionship, and daily living assistance. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in caregiving and a genuine passion for helping others.

Responsibilities

Assist the client with peg tube feeding Assist clients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation. Provide companionship and emotional support to clients, ensuring their comfort and well-being. Help with mobility and transfers, which may involve heavy lifting when necessary. Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients by performing light housekeeping tasks. Monitor clients' health and report any changes in condition to the appropriate healthcare professionals. Support clients in participating in social activities and maintaining their independence. Document care provided and communicate effectively with family members or healthcare providers as needed.

Qualifications

HCA certification is an asset Experience in peg tube feeding Previous experience in caregiving or related fields such as senior home care, nursing homes or hospice care is preferred. Knowledge of patient care techniques and the ability to work with individuals with disabilities. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with clients. Ability to perform heavy lifting and assist clients with mobility challenges. A clean background check is required prior to employment. Certification in CPR/First Aid is a plus but not mandatory.
