Job Description

We are hiring a Personal Educational Aide to work one-on-one with a student for the 2025-26 school year.

Candidates need not be Jewish, but must be receptive and open to working in a Jewish day school environment.





Qualifications:


Experience working with children with special needs in a direct role (eg. behavioural interventionist) Experience working in a school setting. Formal education/training is an asset.




Key Responsibilities:



Including but not limited to the following:



Work with students with learning needs in an inclusive classroom setting as well as on an individual or small group basis Support students in a variety of subject areas with planning, organization and time management Implement learning goals as outlined in the SSP or IEP Use teaching methods to target specific program goals Maintain student records, follow IEP recommendations, and review strategies Prepare additional resources and materials to support students with learning differences Work with classroom teachers to help them understand the needs of students
